As one phase ends, another phase begins

The first part of our Mission Adventure trip came to an end this morning. We packed up. We cleaned up our host church, St. James Presbyterian Church in Littleton, CO. We said good-bye to the YouthWorks staff and our new friends from Iowa and North/South Dakota. Our time serving together transformed our lives and  deepened our faith in God.

From that mission-minded foundation, we launched into the Adventure phase of our trip. We drove to Conifer, CO to zip line in the Conifer National Forest with Denver Adventures. The faces in these pictures tell it all.

After landing safely on the ground and eating lunch, we drove the windy roads to Idaho Springs to raft the Clear Creek. We navigated Class 1-3 Rapids together and survived. As we made our way down the river, we were overwhelmed by the massive mountainsides and beauty of the landscape that could only be created by the hand of God.

Exhausted from new adventures and many laughs together, we ended our day with a delicious dinner together and a lovely night at a hotel in Golden, CO. Day 2 of our adventures together will soon be here. It’s time to sleep to enjoy it all. God is good.
