Our Mission Jamaica Adventure has begun

Our day started before most people had their first cup of coffee! We left Rochester at 2am and made it through the MPLS airport to board our 5:30am flight to Atlanta. A few jars of jelly, sunscreen, peanut butter & Aloe Vera jars were confiscated at the security gate (oops!) but we safely flew from MPLS to Atlanta onto Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Our group of 25 youth & 7 adult leaders rolled through immigration and customs with patience and flexibility! The heat and humidity welcomed us as we flew through the busy streets to arrive at our YWAM camp and settle into our rooms before a delicious, home-cooked Jamaican meal (pumpkin rice, oh my!).

Bedtime is very early tonight but before we went to sleep, we had to create our Flat Jesus’ for our mission trip adventures this week. Here is our first trip picture, with Flat Jesus.

Thank you for your support and prayers! This trip is going to be an awesome one!! God has truly blessed us each step of the way!

Looked up pumpkin rice. Looks like something I could make! Probably different spices though. Can’t wait for the next post. Good luck to everyone.
